Smudged (Papaver orientale)

I have red poppies planted along my entrance walk - they usually bloom in time for Cornell Graduation.  The color is so intense and the structure of the reproductive organs is so interesting.  In this shot, bees had been busy doing there scavenging and the black pollen ended up reminding me of smudged mascara on a beautiful woman.
